Complete denture survival: a 20-year retrospective study of adults receiving publicly funded dental care

Dr Marietta Taylor, BDSc, GDipPH

Dr Marietta Taylor graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1995. She spent 9 years with the Royal Australian Navy, practicing as a general dentist in Sydney and Darwin. She completed her graduate diploma of public health at the Menzies School of Research at the Northern Territory University. She spent time in private practice in Darwin, and then in Melbourne, before being appointed the Senior Dentist at Bendigo Health, (2013-2020) a 31-chair public clinic in regional Victoria. As well as being the largest public dental clinic in regional Victoria, Bendigo Health is home to the Bachelor of Oral Health and Masters of Dentistry program at La Trobe University.

Dr Taylor commenced her PhD in 2019, and together with her supervisors has analyzed the provision of complete dentures by Victorian public dental clinics across a 20-year period, from 2000 to 2019.
